About me

I'm Freelance Bradford Web Designer Paul Jacques. I build websites, in fact I’ve been building websites for many years. I build websites that help you get more visitors and ultimately more business. But I don’t just build websites, I improve website page load speed, I improve website security, I improve website accessibility, I improve on-page SEO and I perform website updates and make changes.

I'm based in the village of Thornton in Bradford, West Yorkshire and I have many years of commercial experience. I coded my first html page in the mid 1990's, things have changed a lot since then. I've had many job titles in my career: Web Designer, Web Developer/Systems Engineer, Internet Technologies Developer, Web Systems Developer, Web Programmer, and most recently Software Developer.

The common factor across all these jobs, is that they all involved building web things in one form or another. Fortunately, I love building web things and I'm not afraid to try new things, be it a new programming language or web technology. I also have an interest in UX and UI.

When I'm not working on web things or entertaining my children or enjoying a family day out, I relax by brewing my own beer and fruit wines (and drinking it), attending beer festivals, reading, avoiding DIY (not always possible) and visiting castles.
